Considering the lack of Improved/Potable Water sources for Host communities, IDPs and Returnees in Borno State, Lindii Peace Foundation in collaboration with Green Helmets provided Water to the various communities in Chibok and Askira Uba.
Through a very difficult terrain termed inaccessible, LPF pioneered entry into some communities that have never been reached by any aid Organization. With efforts from the locals and volunteers, machines & equipment needed were moved into the communities and the process commenced against all odds. Six boreholes equipped with hand pumps were installed in these communities with one well, providing potable water for the people.
This was made possible with the help of well meaning volunteers who worked assiduously to ensure the actualization of the project and bring relief to the people of Chibok and Askira Uba in June, 2018.
