Response Approach
In delivering a rapid response, Lindii Peace Foundation deployed a two-way approach, focusing on coordination and partnership through:
- Strengthening coordination with government agencies such as NEMA, Borno SEMA, Borno State Ministry of Water Resources, Borno State RUWASSA, Borno State Agency for Coordination of Sustainable Development and Humanitarian Response, and other relevant authorities in the delivery of the response. LPF also commits to contributing to the development of joint action plans, effective allocation of resources, and ensuring alignment of policies
- Partnering with local and international NGOs, Sectors, and civil society organizations with expertise in WASH and disaster response to significantly enhance the effectiveness of WASH interventions across the various camps.
- Collaboration with UNICEF, for valuable support and resources for WASH response while coordinating with other UN Agencies such as WHO, and OCHA for advocacy where required.
The second approach adopted a beneficiary-targeted response aimed at deploying and delivering planned assistance in real-time to the affected population. The deployed response is running concurrently to ensure effective communication of deployed resources, planned activities, and identified gaps for partner engagement and resource mobilization
