The objective of the training was to provide basic knowledge of hygiene promotion in emergency situations and enhance the skills of the participants in identifying WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) related problems within their communities. The training also aimed to provide a basic understanding of hygiene domains and facilitation skills for community volunteers.
The participants are 75 in number with the ratio of 20 male and 55 female.
The training session was interactive and engaging, with various methodologies such as Powerpoint presentations, case studies, Role-play was also used as a methodology during the training session. The participants were divided into groups and assigned roles to play out different scenarios related to WASH related problems. This allowed them to gain a better understanding of the problems faced by their communities and how to address them.
open discussions were also held during the training session, where participants were encouraged to share their experiences and knowledge with each other. This allowed for a more collaborative learning environment, where participants could learn from each other’s experiences through response to questions and answers, and physical demonstrations being used. The participants were able to develop an action plan to implement in their respective Communities and Camps.
LPF recognised the importance of providing such training to improve the quality of life in communities affected by emergencies. The training equipped the participants with practical skills to address WASH related problems in their communities.
LPF is committed to continuing to provide such training sessions to improve the quality of life in communities affected by emergencies. LPF appreciated the participants for their active participation in the training session and looks forward to seeing the positive impact of the training in their respective Communities and duty posts.
