In many hard-to-reach communities across Yobe State, access to basic healthcare remains a significant challenge. Long distances, limited infrastructure, and insecurity continue to prevent vulnerable populations, especially women and children, from accessing essential health services.
To address this gap, Lindii Peace Foundation (LPF) continues to implement mobile medical outreach services, ensuring that lifesaving healthcare reaches those who need it most, wherever they are.
Through these outreach activities, LPF teams travel to remote and underserved communities to provide a range of integrated health services. These include antenatal care for pregnant women, routine health consultations, nutrition screening for children, and referrals for specialized care when needed.
For many families, these outreach visits represent their only opportunity to access professional healthcare.
Beyond service delivery, the outreach sessions also serve as platforms for health education, empowering caregivers with knowledge on maternal health, child nutrition, hygiene practices, and disease prevention. This approach not only addresses immediate health needs but also strengthens community resilience and promotes long-term well-being.

LPF’s mobile outreach strategy is rooted in a simple but powerful principle: healthcare should be accessible to all, regardless of location or circumstance.
With Support from the Nigeria Humanitarian Fund (NHF), LPF is bringing services directly to the communities, helping to reduce health inequalities, improve early detection of malnutrition and illness, and ensure timely intervention for vulnerable populations.
