At Lindii Peace Foundation (LPF) Majakura Primary Health Care (PHC), the health and wellbeing of vulnerable communities remain a top priority, particularly for pregnant women, mothers, and their children. Through continuous delivery of essential maternal and child health services, the facility plays a vital role in ensuring that families receive the care and support they need at every stage of the motherhood journey.
During Antenatal Care (ANC) sessions, expectant mothers receive comprehensive guidance on their pregnancy journey. Health workers engage them in discussions on maternal health, nutrition, birth preparedness, and family planning, helping women make informed decisions about their health and the wellbeing of their babies. These sessions also provide an opportunity for routine health checks and early identification of potential complications.

In addition to ANC services, LPF Majakura PHC supports safe and normal deliveries, ensuring that mothers give birth in a secure environment under the care of trained health personnel. Skilled birth attendance significantly reduces risks for both mothers and newborns, contributing to safer childbirth outcomes within the community.
The care continues even after delivery. The facility provides postnatal care services to monitor the health of both mother and newborn, offer breastfeeding support, and provide guidance on newborn care and family planning. These services help ensure that mothers recover well and that babies receive the best possible start to life.
Through the support from the Nigeria Humanitarian Fund (NHF), Lindii Peace Foundation continues to strengthen access to quality primary healthcare services, supporting healthier families and contributing to improved maternal and child health outcomes in the community.
