Every 19 November, we join the global community in marking World Toilet Day. This year’s theme: We’ll Always Need the Toilet – Sanitation in a Changing World.
This theme reminds us of a simple but powerful truth about safe hygiene: no matter how the world evolves, access to safe toilets and proper sanitation will always remain essential for dignity, health, and survival. In humanitarian settings like the IDP Camps we serve, the importance of sanitation becomes even more urgent. Poor or inadequate toilets expose children, women, and entire families to disease, insecurity, and indignity, challenges that no human being should ever face.
At LPF, we’re committed to:
- Building and rehabilitating clean, safe, and gender-sensitive latrines.
- Promoting hygiene education and encouraging the safe use of toilets.
- Empowering communities to take active leadership in managing their own sanitation services.

Today, we celebrate the progress made as an organization, and we honor the resilience of the communities we stand with. We call for renewed commitment to ensure no one is left behind. Safe sanitation must be upheld as a right, never a privilege.

Thank you for standing with us. Together, we can create healthier and more dignified futures, one toilet, one community at a time.
