LPF has successfully concluded a two-day capacity-building training session aimed at strengthening coordination, enhancing operational effectiveness, and reinforcing institutional standards across its programmes and partnerships.
The training brought together LPF staff and a team from ZOA (main implementing partner) in a shared learning space designed to promote alignment, experience sharing, and improved collaboration. Participants engaged in focused discussions on operational systems, coordination mechanisms, and best practices that support effective programme delivery and accountability to donors and beneficiaries.

Speaking during the session, LPF Country Director, Engr. Emmanuel Orubor, emphasized the importance of sustained capacity development and strong partnerships in achieving long-term impact. He highlighted that LPF’s progress to date is built on deliberate investments in quality systems, professionalism, and people-centred operations.
“There is no organization within the region that has reached the level of LPF’s standard of operation. The efforts made so far are sustainable, and the A-plus ratings and strong recommendations we continue to receive from partners and beneficiaries serve as a major driving force for us to maintain excellence,” he said.
Engr. Orubor further stressed that LPF has no room to compromise its standards, noting that accountability to donors and affected communities remains central to the organization’s mission.
“There is no room to fail our donors or the beneficiaries we serve. This responsibility is what drives LPF to continuously strengthen its systems and operations,” he added.
He also underscored the importance of institutional learning, recommending that capacity-building trainings be conducted quarterly to further strengthen coordination between partners and internal teams, improve efficiency, and sustain high-quality programme implementation.
The successful completion of the training reaffirmed LPF’s commitment to continuous learning, strong partnerships, and operational excellence. Discussions during the sessions also highlighted a shared optimism for the future of collaboration between LPF and its partners, grounded in mutual trust, high standards, and a collective vision for greater humanitarian impact.

LPF remains committed to investing in its people and systems as a foundation for delivering accountable, effective, and sustainable humanitarian assistance to vulnerable communities.
